About me

Web design history

Hmmm it is always hard to write this kind of personal profile. Anyway, my name is Nicole, I'm 19 years of age and live in Australia. Web design has been an interest of mine for approximately 8 years now. It first began when I created a Robbie Williams fansite in 2001. It started out as a msn group, but eventually developed into a full fledged fansite. In 2002, I bought my first domain: "http://www.robbiewilliamsoz.com". Running RobbieWilliamsOz was very rewarding and gave me great experience in html and web design. Due to personal and undisclosed reasons, RobbieWilliamsOz was sadly taken down in 2006.

Although the first phase of my webdesign experience was over, I did not want to give it up. In 2007 I decided to buy a domain name where I could portfolio all of my artworks and designworks. Place-To-Crash.org has given me the opportunity to display my work to the world. After quite a long hiatus in late 2007/early 2008, Place-To-Crash.Org is back and better than ever.

The boring stuff

Well, I was born in a country town in South Australia on the 10th of June 1988. I had always had an interest in art and design, which eventually resulted in me studying Web Developement at university. In 2007 I moved to the city which was a scary and new experience for me. So far it's been good, but it was hard to move away from home and family. Anyway, back to university. In 2007 I began a Bachelor degree in Media Arts majoring in 'Interactive Multimedia' and sub majoring in 'Web Developement'. So far the course has been great. I've had the opportunity to create my own film productions, websites, brochures and newsletters. As I'm not completely sure what job field I want to get into, these different types of classes are helping me get a sense of what I really want to do. And I think that is webdesign and desktop publishing.
